The surroundings
Just outside lies the Helen valley — a wooded valley along the Schwechat river, threaded with walking and hiking paths. The Vienna Woods invite long, quiet loops, with no programme at all.
Above the valley stands the Rauhenstein ruin, a medieval castle ruin in the woods. A short walk leads up to it — a rewarding view across the Helen valley.
